Bequests are designated in wills and administered by the Executor of the estate.
Insurance – an insurance policy can be donated to Hospice or Hospice can be named as a beneficiary. An Insurance Policy can also be taken out on an individual, with the donor donating the premium and THS owning and named as beneficiary of policy.
A gift of Capital property can reduce capital gains tax on a gift of appreciated capital property.
Hospice can be named as the beneficiary of your RRSP/RRIF.
The Terrace Hospice Society is a registered non-profit charitable organization and receipts will be issued for all donations.

HOW TO MAKE A BEQUEST TO THE TERRACE HOSPICE SOCIETY
Speak with your lawyer or the person looking after your will.
Tell your lawyer you want to make a bequest legacy gift to “Terrace Hospice Society.”
E-mail terracehospice@citywest.ca or call 250-635-4811 about your intention to add the Society to your will.
Sample statement to add to your will: “I _________ bequeath to the Terrace Hospice Society of #207 – 4650 Lazelle Av. Terrace BC V8G 1S6 _____ % of the residue (or a specific amount) of my estate for its own sole and only use absolutely.”
Ask your lawyer to send a copy of your will to the Terrace Hospice Society.
