Music Care Conversation Cards: Older Adults

Music Care Conversation Cards are a collection of pictures and questions formatted in a spiral bound, laminated booklet that catalyze memories and conversation about music in our lives. Pictures may be used themselves as a prompt for engagement.  Open-ended and more structured questions provide conversation starters around themes.

Conversation Cards were developed by Room 217 to:

• Support relational care
• Strengthen personal identity and self-worth
• Reduce loneliness and boredom
• Increase pleasure and cognitive stimulation
• Reinforce meaningful experiences
